About this Project:
The St. Louis Dream Center is located in the heart of inner-city St. Louis. There are over 30 ongoing ministries that address a broad range of problems and needs including poverty, unemployment, homelessness, drug addiction, fatherless families and unplanned pregnancies. Our team will participate in street ministry, evangelism, community outreach, children's ministry, inner-city youth ministry, food ministry and special projects. Team members will engage in hands-on ministry training that will challenge them beyond their comfort zone. Through practical actions, you will present the Gospel to the broken; bring love to the hopeless and healing to the hurting.
*There will be a least three team meetings before trip departure, your team leader will advise. All team members are required to attend all team meetings.
Who may come:
Adults ages 18 and older (mature youth considered if room allows). All team members must be able fully participate in outreaches.
What are the accommodations:
Our team will stay at the St. Louis Dream Center. You will share a dorm style room with at least 2 or 3 others from the group (men in one room and women in the other). Each participant will be provided with a twin size mattress (provided by the dream center) or a bunk bed. You must bring your own sleeping bag (or sheet and blanket) and pillow.
What we will eat:
Meals are included and will be served at the St. Louis Dream Center. All participants will be responsible for their own snacks during the trip and meals on travel days.
What should I bring:
Bedding/sleeping bag, pillow, hygiene products, closed toe shoes, work shorts and t-shirts, spending money for food/snacks on travel days and any activities while in St. Louis.
